Found this the other day -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0x8kml-afs

I spend last week knocking together IKEA funiture in my youngest's new house (just moved into what I would call a slum/hovtel in Nottingham)- luckily nothing as dramatic took place...though there were several ciggie breaks involved..... :)

Ouch indeed.

When it comes to Ikea furniture I always end up falling back on we call the 'Birmingham Screwdriver' - what others might know as a 'Hammer'.

Although the final stages of 'assembling' said furnishings are not often included in the sweedish language instructions, the Birmingham Screwdriver is vital to complete any IKEA assembly - demolishing the wonky cd rack/table/desk, hurling the debris across the street and s*dding it off!

That company has reduced some bright, able men to tears - I've seen it happen!

Haha love it.

Well, I guess that's a bottom line to aim for the next time I undertake a project round the house.

Interesting ideas on tree surgery especially.

shame on you - not only are you laughing at the misfortune of others (how many broken bones here?) but you are also contently watching workplaces that are operating outside of the stringent Health and Safety laws we love so dearly. I will pass on details to the appropriate bodies immediatly

In the meantime, please familiarise yourselves with the h and s guidance on injury in the home - section 179 b - which covers urination due to laughter and the giggles.

Davidandrews -

There wasn't a bod with a clipboard stopping the more simple chimps from jumping into crocodile's mouths....that's why we've evolved into our current state

to be fair, does just show the level that some people operate at without good training and proper guidance.
