Hi. I've read on the forum some pessimism regarding the nature of these long warrantees that the bigger companies offer.

I know sometimes warrantees aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Not long ago, I bough a camera from ASDA, which broke. Luckily it had a 'no quibles' one year warantee on it, but when I took it back, guess what?, they did quible and wouldn't take it back! Want to know why? Because I didn't have the original box! It made me so angry! Nowhere on the paperwork did it state that you have to keep the box, and what kind of nutjob spends their days collecting boxes??

Anyway, ASDA's cheapness has lost me £75 (and them a customer, have taken the weekly shop to Morrisons out of disgust for these yankie owned scum) which is annoying but not a major tragedy.

However, the amount that we are being quoted for double glazing means that having a warantee is an absolute must, and it really must be no quible.

Now, I have had two identical quotes (near identical), with Anglian's standing out due to the 15 year guarantee.

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with this guarantee? Will they really honour it or is it just a ploy to make the sale more likely?

Sorry for the rant!!

I am a salesman for Anglian and have only recently jpined them. I have visited their factory and seen their products compared to the rest of the market and to be brutally honest I am 100% convinced that their guarantees are worth having. Their ultraseal 2 units are the latest in modern technology and are available at no extra cost and should well last the 15 years and some. The new spacer bar technology is the key behind this longer term guarantee. But just in case they don't I know for a fact that they will sort it out and replace the damaged units free of charge.

Is someone trying to score points with their boss?

Richie, thanks for your opinion - as your career progressive please bare in mind that you work for Anglian, you are not about to marry them.

There are a tonne of instances recorded online where anglian have not 'sorted it out replaced the damage units free of charge' I'm affraid, so I do not know how, having only recently joinined, you can 'know' this for a fact.

Anyone had any actual experience with Anglian, and specifically whether their guarantee is worth half a whatsit?

The Double Glazing forum welcomes useful questions and input from all members of the double glazing community, both people in the trade and homeowners.
However, following the lead of other members of the double glazing community, we have taken the decision to remove this post, as we have been informed that there is on-going legal action, which we do not want to become involved with (please see house rules 5 - Don't Get Us In Trouble)

In addition, due to the legal action, Anglian are unable to reply in a public forum which, in our opinion, distorts the balance of discussion.

Kind regards

Richierich, if you put your head up out of the trench you will get it shot off. You can have the best windows in the world but if they are not fitted properly and safely, you would be better off with rubbish windows properly fitted.

Sounds like another lamb to the slaughter. Just of the 1 week training course and singing the companhy song. Wait till he starts wondering where his commission has gone with the 15 year claw back scheme they operate at Anglian

A question was recently asked to Anglian about videos on Utube, their response was the following,

With reference to your comments on website items, we are of course aware of the points raised within this website and we are aware that on occasions other companies will add comments of a derogatory nature given entirely the wrong impression of our company.

I am confident that should you consider contracting with our company that you will be entirely happy with the produce and service provided as over 95% of our customers are at the current stage.

We are of course always endeavouring to improve the service to our valued customers and should you ever experience any difficulties, should you contract with our company, please do not hesitate to contact me direct and I will be pleased to assist.

Yours sincerely

that was a copy and paste, from their email,

i am not sure if you read again, above paragraph 3, i thought it was windows, and not produce they are selling, this email is confusing, doe's anyone agree ?. was it rushed, or should it be flushed.
===========================

So how do they know, that other Companies are adding comments of a derogatory nature, towards Anglian, they don't even look into these cases, nor does its Solicitors, as i know for sure, as when i complained to its Solicitors about the abusive behaviour i was subjected too, on Utube by a Person who was claiming to be a Manager of Anglian in their Offices the abusive comments were removed, and saved for evidence, base on their content an nature, to cause extreme offence, its solicitors claimed it was not one of their employees, this is yet to be discovered, through continuing investigations

So is the Big MONSTER feelling that they are now been attacked by smaller Companies who wish to do it HARM

please vote, and give your responses, as we would like to discover who those Smaller Companies are that are putting on Utube those derogatory Comments

We feel it time to Help Anglian in its quest to discover who those companies are,
who are hurting it and causing it to loose Customers,
