1) No Shameless Self Promotion
Both homeowners and representatives of companies are welcomed at the DGF. However, we politely ask that anyone representing a company focuses on providing useful, insightful answers to the questions that our guests ask, rather than simply answering to provide the opportunity to link to their own website or to badmouth a competitor, either large or small. There is a suppliers section in which you can promote yourself in this way, if you’d like to be included here PM the admin. The admin reserves the right to edit all posts.
2) Stay on Topic
Please submit to the most relevant thread. If there isn’t yet a thread, please feel free to start one. Please don’t hijack other threads to post unrelated subjects. The admin reserves the right to edit irrelevant posts by moving them into different threads.
3) Debate don’t Hate – People
Debating and discussion there’s no problem with. Any rude or insulting posts, or any personal attacks on other people will not be tolerated – don’t type anything you wouldn’t say to someone’s face. The admin reserves the right to edit posts, and our decision is final in these matters.
4) Constructive Criticism – Companies
We welcome constructive and comparative criticism of companies that you have had personal experience with. However, there is a line between this and blatant and unhelpful bashing of companies whom you dislike. The admin reserves the right to judge where this line is, and to edit or remove posts that cross it.
5) Don’t Get Us in Trouble
Please don’t write anything purposelessly inflammatory, link to anything dodgy/illegal or do anything else that would discredit the site or bring us into conflict with the law. The admin reserves the right to edit posts, and our decision is final.
